TRAVEL SAFELY
PROTOCOLS AND GUIDELINES FOR TRAVELING DURING COVID-19
Since our first trip over 24 years ago, safety has always been a priority at Velo Echappe’. With the present situation with Covid-19, outdoor recreation continues to be one of the safest ways to travel and explore the world. We’ve consulted with health experts at one of the nation’s top hospitals, the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, to adapt our on-tour protocols while maintaining the level of luxury and service you’ve come to expect from us. UNMC has one of only two Biocontainment Patient Care Units in the United States. At the onset of the Covid pandemic when Americans were being evacuated from overseas, they were flown to Omaha where they were quarantined at UNMC while the doctors determined what the disease was. Thus, the UMNC doctors are truly some of the world’s leading experts on the virus.
One of life’s most precious gifts is your health! If you care for it, your life will be richer in experience and you’ll be able to achieve more of your goals and dreams. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) warn that COVID-19 and its variants are primarily spread through direct, person-to-person contact or being in close proximity to an infected individual. Thus, we are focused on reducing the risk of transmission on our trips in the following ways.
